For Summer ‘21 Teds creative VM team approached Hello Flamingo to create sweet props for their store refurb for their store in Durban mall, South Africa.

The theme was 80’s style British sweet shop with a Ted twist. Hello Flamingo produced a range of classic British sweets from small, detailed ‘slip dab’ dib dab packets to oversized crushed lollies that tied the theme together.

These were made with poly, acrylic and sprayed to a high-quality finish to recreate the glossy candy texture. We also produced artwork to include typical Ted humour by making Ted’s very own, ‘Baker Violets’ and ‘Tednor rock.’

We think the new store looks fantastic and was such a fun, nostalgic project that brought us back to our sweetest childhood memories.
