Ted Baker – Miami

Hello Flamingo were asked by Ted Baker to work on the creative props for the new Miami store opening. With a brief of ‘Decodance’, where vintage ballroom dancing meets Miami disco.

The project involved sourcing wonderful vintage items and adding a touch of disco to sit within the art deco themed store. The Hello Flamingo team loved sourcing hundreds of props from flea markets, antiques fairs, specialist collectors, to bring the concept to life.

From old dancing trophies to ghetto blasters, ballroom dancing shoes to retro trainers. Some of the items had special treatments – ghetto blasters were glittered, gramophones were covered in mirror tiles, adding the glitz to the era and a fun twist on the items which were displayed through the store and the windows.

Champagne bottles had mini disco balls bursting from them, vintage top hats had the glitter balls tumbling out from them. Vintage bow ties looked to be tying themselves in a beautiful glass cabinet.

To be part of the installation team in Miami was very exciting and it was great to help with the styling and shop fit.

This was a wonderful and creative project to be part of – we are delighted with the results!
