The design brief was to make the space feel temporary, giving the impression of being backstage of one of the famous Victoria’s Secret fashion shows.
Hello Flamingo design team created a concept for the fitting rooms which involved a 6m x 6m self-supporting steel structure which was modular to enable it to be installed on site with ease.
The freestanding structure included 8 individual fitting rooms, measuring 1.3×1.3m each, a large central waiting space and an entrance space.
The entirety of the steel walls were clad in wood to give even more stability and a flat surface to lean against and fix to as required.
Around the entire perimeter of the room, front, back and in-between were draped using a readymade soft, dusky pink, velvet-feel curtain – which hung from floor to ceiling, giving a truly sumptuous feel.
All exposed metal work was a simple matte black finish, including the curtain rails for the front of the fitting rooms, along with curtain tie backs, garment rails and frames.
In each room a large mirror hangs, with a thin matte black frame and illuminated from the back using warm white LED tape.
Across the top each fitting room a black rail sits to hold a crystal pendant with decorative black twisted cord to softly light the rooms.
The space is opulent, feminine and very Victoria’s Secret, whilst still giving the temporary, pop-up feel, and the client is delighted!
