Browns – London Fashion Week

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] To celebrate the collaboration between London luxury boutique Browns Fashion and New York fashion designer Michael Halpern, whose London-based Halpern label is known for being a ‘cavalcade of sequins and colour’, at the AW18 London Fashion Week, Hello Flamingo were brought in to manufacture a series of incredible window displays for the Browns Fashion boutique on South Molton Street, London. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] The five windows, designed by Browns Fashion, were filled with faceted glass panels and shapes, piles of mirror balls in various sizes, a giant 1m diameter ball, red illuminated balls and illuminated red lightbox stands for mannequins. The multi-faceted mirror back wall window had a red neon sign reading ‘AFTER MIDNIGHT’, which reflected in the mirror to give an infinite effect. Following the much-anticipated Halpern show, Browns Fashion threw a Halpern x Browns aftershow party at the Five Guys restaurant on London’s Tottenham Court Road. Hello Flamingo built props for the event, to...

Miss Sixty – Westfield

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Miss Sixty, the Italian fashion brand, came to Hello Flamingo with a concept for their SS18 window displays, for their Westfield, London and Brompton Road stores. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] The design concept, which will be seen in Miss Sixty stores internationally, was made up of hundreds of beautiful spring coloured flowers, tumbling from floating urns, floating mini birdcages filled with flowers and a vintage swing with floral arrangements. The window props were produced in-house at the Hello Flamingo workshop, just outside Brighton. A polystyrene former created the base for the cascade of flowers. Carved by the team, it held its own weight with the urn attached. And the hundreds of flowers were hand applied to give the impression of them spilling out of the urn. This pretty scheme really embodies the change in season and has been well received by the client. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]...

Aquascutum – Christmas

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Hello Flamingo had the pleasure of working again with the lovely team at Aquascutum, on their Christmas 2017 window display in their Great Marlborough Street store. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] A wonderfully wintry scene was set across the store with an icy effect on the windows and snow filling the window. Wrought iron gates with beautiful Christmas wreaths, illuminated lamp posts and frosty trees with lights added to the dreamy feel of the window. Little details such as tiny robins sitting on the gates and trees were perfect additions to complete the festive feel. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]...

Browns – Christmas

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] The creative team at, high end boutique, Browns came to us with designs for their Christmas 2017 windows. The fun concept involves everyone’s favourite Christmas gift – socks! [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] In one window 4 pairs of lady’s mannequin legs, were suspended, crossed legged, from a clean white wall. Each pair of legs had a pair of Vetements socks and a gorgeous pair of evening shoes. Another window was adorned with festive garlands made from white rope and socks – each sock had a solid template inside to keep its shape. A giant lightbox/mini theatre was built in another, for a display of sock puppets (supplied by the client). The very stylish puppets were held in place by wooden mannequin hands, sourced by the Hello Flamingo team. Two giant Christmas trees, made from enormous polystyrene cones, each overlaid with green socks to give the effect of the branches and then wrapped in fairy lights. A replica stone...

Oasis – Once Upon a Time

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] We are always delighted to have the opportunity to work with the lovely creative team at Oasis, we love their style and relish the chance to create such bold statement pieces[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] Continuing the theme of The Extraordinarium, the flagship store on London's Argyll Street was a wondrous sight with two windows filled with magic. One had a giant bust of a unicorn, which was hand carved and painted in house and given an elaborate set of reins, along with the clock and lamp posts, frame and beautiful red velvet drapes. The other had a magical staircase made from giant story books, miniature towers made from pages from the books and a crowned frog on a red silk pillow. Stores across the UK received full sized unicorns, which were originally zebras from a previous Oasis scheme, and were hand painted in house by the Hello Flamingo team. The unicorns had beautifully crystal embellished reins,...

L.K. Bennett – L.K. Bennett X Preen collaboration

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] L.K. Bennett announced their first ever ready-to-wear collaboration, with internationally renowned label, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] The design duo drew inspiration for the timeless capsule collection from the floral watercolours of Scottish artist Charles Rennie Macintosh. Hello Flamingo were so excited to be involved in bringing the collection into the store windows, which was rolled out across the UK. The in-house team created a number of plinths, for mannequins to stand on and for product to be placed, in a beautiful red high-gloss finish. Some with floral and geometric detail taken straight from the designs of the garments. Plinths were also supplied for the press event to launch the collection, where models stood like real life mannequins, showing off the beautiful pieces. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]...

Oasis – The Extraordinarium

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] The Creative Team at Oasis created a pop-up book and curiosity shop for the preview of their AW17 collection back in April, called The Extraordinarium. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] They took inspiration from the pop-up to all stores across the UK for their AW window displays. We were so happy to be asked by the team to help with some elements for the scheme. The Hello Flamingo in house prop-making team set about cutting a number of fibreglass, life sized zebras in half. Using the front end, the team handpainted the zebras leg pastel pink and added a monocle which had text from an old book applied to it. Internal split batons were added to the back of the zebras, enabling the inhouse VM teams to attach them to the wall, to give the impression that the zebras were floating. We also took the head of a flamingo (our personal favourite) and adorned them with rose...
